Emrys has lived and worked in Ottawa-Centre almost his entire life. Married in October 2007, he and his wife Molly met at Glebe Collegiate Institute in 1998.
In 2001 Emrys started working at the Ottawa Folklore Centre, where after three years he was promoted to his first management position as Retail Coordinator. Moving to Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in 2006, he took over the management of their Musical Education Centre from 2007 to 2008.
During Emrys’ last year at Long & McQuade he was attending Carleton University full time to attain his B.A. in Political Science while working an average of 35 hours per week.
In the 2008 Federal election Emrys joined the team in Ottawa-Centre to help elect Brian McGarry, working with Fred Litwin as a media contact for the campaign. Shortly after the election, Emrys became a board member of the Ottawa-Centre EDA and he has been actively participating in Conservative politics ever since.
In the summer of 2009 Emrys started working at the Conservative Resource Group as a researcher. Since then he has been working in politics through the Conservative Resource Group, as a consultant, and now as a Legislative Assistant for Kelly Block, Member of Parliament for Saskatoon-Rosetown-Biggar.
Having received strategic campaign management training from the Conservative Party, graduating with distinction from two Executive Certificate programs at the Manning Centre for Building Democracy, and actively working in various positions for the Conservatives, Emrys is ready to win in the next election.
